[Order Cancellation] Can I cancel my order?

Yes, you can — but there are a few important things to note before cancelling your order. 
 

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • You can only cancel an order once.
  • If your cancellation is rejected or withdrawn, you can’t submit another cancellation request for the same order.

Please take note of the following information regarding order cancellation:

 
1. When can I cancel my order

Before shipment arranged: Cancel instantly

📦 After shipment arranged: Needs seller’s approval

Paid Pre-Order Orders

🕒 Must cancel within 1 hour after placing the order

✅ Needs seller’s approval

⏳ If the seller doesn’t respond within 1 day, it will be auto-cancelled and refunded

 

Here is how it works:

 

🟢 No seller approval required

Applies when your payment is completed but the seller has not yet arranged shipment (no tracking number updated). 

  • Cancellation is immediate; no waiting is needed.

  • If the seller does not ship within 3 days after the Days to Ship period, the system will automatically cancel and refund your order.

  • Pickup unsuccessful: If the pickup attempt fails, the order remains in “To Ship” status. The system will still auto-cancel if the seller does not successfully ship before the deadline.

 

🟠 Seller approval required
Applies to paid local and overseas orders (not pre-orders) where the seller has already arranged shipment — for example, when a tracking number is updated or the parcel is ready for pickup. 

  • Seller has 1 day to respond to your cancellation request.

  • If the seller does not respond within that time, the system will auto-approve the request, and your payment will be refunded.

  • If the seller rejects and ships the item, the cancellation cannot proceed. You may still request a Return/Refund after delivery, if applicable.

 

💡 For Pre-Orders

  Pre-orders have a different process

  • You may cancel within 1 hour after placing the order.

  • After that, cancellations require seller approval since the item is being prepared or sourced specially.

  • If the seller rejects, the order will continue as usual until shipped.

 

2. How do I cancel my order

Thinking of cancelling your order? No worries, it’s quick and easy! Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to cancel your order.

 

a) Find Your Order

  • Click on “Me” on your Shopee app.

  • Tap “To Pay” or “To Ship”.

  • Look for your order and tap on its name.

 

 

💡 Tip:

  • If payment has not gone through, your order will appear under “To Pay”.

  • If payment is successful, you will find it under “To Ship” before the seller ships it out.

b)  Request to cancel

  • Tap “Cancel Order” to start the cancellation process.

3. How to check the status of your cancellation request

4. How to withdraw your cancellation request

If you change your mind about the cancellation, you can withdraw your request using the steps below: 

 

Step 1: Select the order that you requested to cancel

Step 2: Click on Withdraw Request

Step 3: Click on Confirm

5. What happens after cancellation?

Once your cancellation is confirmed:
  • Your order will be marked as Cancelled.

  • Your refund will be processed to your original payment method.

⚠️ Note: If your order is already shipped, cancellation is no longer possible. However, you may still request an In-transit Return/Refund by SPX Express
